You are now in auditing mode.

Auditing gives you a chance to look
at Windows 95 on the new computer.
This is useful for quality control
checks, testing, and additional
hardware and software installation.
There are a wide variety of
auditing options available to you.
For additional details, see the
documentation included with your kit.

This file, AFC.TXT, is provided in
text format so that you can modify
it to provide custom instructions
in auditing for:
* Factory workers (you may have some
  unique instructions that are
  specifically appropriate for your
  factory environment, or
* Resellers (you may want to give
  them some additional instructions
  if they invoke manual auditing
before the end user receives the
  computer.

AFC.TXT is displayed whenever auditing
is invoked. If you do not want this
file to be displayed during auditing,
delete the file from the hard drive.

When you reached auditing stage of
preinstallation, preinstall setup
is nearly complete. Depending on
the options you selected when you ran
the OEM preinstallation wizard, there
may be additional steps you need to
follow however to complete the
installation. Refer to the
documentation included with your kit
for additional details.

For example, if you checked the box
in the OEM preinstallation wizard Disk
Duplication screen labeled "Postpone
long filename creation until after
disk duplication", you need to:

1. Rename PREDUP.TAG in
   C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS of the
   hard disk to POSTDUP.TAG.
2. Duplicate the hard drive.

The next time that drive is booted
into Windows, LFN conversion will
occur.

IMPORTANT: When you have finished
auditing and you are ready to ship
the computer to the end-user,
click the Shutdown button on
the OEM Reset Reminder dialog to
clean up auditing mode and prepare
the computer for the end user
experience. You are required to
click the shutdown button before
shipping the computer. For more
information on your cleanup options
in auditing see the documentation
included with your kit.

After you have clicked the Shutdown
button, do not turn the new computer
on again unless you invoke the audit
process described in the documentation
included with your kit.

Do not complete the end-user experience
for the end user. This is defined as the
sequence of screens that appear when the
new computer is booted in non-auditing
mode after preinstall setup is complete.
These screens include, but are not
limited to the:
   * Certificate of Authenticity screen
   * User name / Company name screen
   * Electronic license agreement screen
   * Welcome to Windows 95 screen.

Thanks and we hope your preinstall
experience was a pleasant one.
